LITTO3D® PACA 2015

The Litto3D product is a unique and continuous land-sea altimetry database providing a three-dimensional representation of the shape and position of the ground on the coastal fringe of the French territory. A line dividing the acquisition areas between land and sea separates the surveys carried out by bathymetric lidar or multibeam echosounder technologies on the sea side and airborne topographic lidar on the land side, with an overlap of 300m. Litto3D is available in two forms: a three-dimensional point set and a qualified digital terrain model. This dataset relates to the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur (PACA) area.

Additional information The DTM is accompanied by two layers providing localised metadata. Each layer is based on the same regular grid as the DTM, for each node, one provides information on the origin of the majority of data used to calculate a node and the other provides information on the evaluation of the distance between the node considered and the various known points used to calculate its altitude. The bathymetric and topographic data were obtained from different sensors: Shoals 3000, HawkEye IIb and LADS MkIII.The topographic and bathymetric data (mixed sensor) in the very shallow waters (typically up to 2-3 metres depth, locally more) were obtained from a RIEGL VQ-820-G sensor. The topographic data are from an ALTM31000AE-IGN sensor. These bathymetric and topographic data were acquired between 30 September and 2 October 2007, between 5 and 7 October 2010 and between 30 April 2012 and 12 July 2013.
